James Taylor · 2026-10-23

If you've been looking for a reason to dust off your sewing machine, Corey Yoder just gave you a good one. Her new book, Sunroom Sampler, is like a burst of sunshine for your quilting library. And the best part? You can get your hands on it before it even hits the shelves. I remember the first time I flipped through a quilt book that actually made me want to drop everything and start cutting fabric. That's the feeling you get with this one. Corey has a way of mixing warm, vibrant colors with classic patterns that just works. ### What's Inside the Book? Sunroom Sampler isn't just a collection of patterns—it's a full experience. You'll find a gorgeous sampler quilt and three additional quilt designs, all featuring her Sunroom fabric collection for Moda Fabrics. The idea is to bring that cozy, sunlit feel into your home, no matter the season. But here's the thing: this isn't your grandma's quilt book. Corey's designs have a fresh, modern twist that appeals to today's quilters. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, you'll find something that sparks your creativity. ### A Sneak Peek at the Blocks To whet your appetite, here are five of the blocks you'll find in the book: - **Sunrise Star**: A classic star block with a twist, using warm yellows and soft pinks. - **Garden Path**: A geometric design that mimics the winding paths of a sunroom garden. - **Morning Glory**: A floral-inspired block that's simpler than it looks. - **Sunbeam**: A radiant block that's perfect for using up scraps. - **Porch Swing**: A cozy block that feels like a lazy afternoon. And that's just the beginning. Corey will be sharing more teasers on social media leading up to the release in Spring 2027, so keep an eye out. ### Pre-Order the Book and Kit Now, here's the practical part. You can pre-order the Sunroom Sampler Quilt Book right now. But if you want the full experience, consider the Sunroom Sampler Quilt Kit. It includes a copy of the book plus all the fabric you need for the quilt top and binding. That means no last-minute trips to the fabric store—everything arrives at your door. > "Quilting is like therapy, but you get a blanket at the end." — Unknown That quote always makes me smile because it's true. And with this kit, you're setting yourself up for hours of relaxing, creative time. ### Join the Community Quilting is more fun when you share it.
