### Moda Blockheads 7: Your Wednesday Just Got Better Get ready to mark your calendar because Wednesday is about to become the highlight of your week. The Blockheads 7 Quilt Along, hosted by Moda Fabrics, kicks off 30 weeks of quilty camaraderie, and the first of 30 free quilt block patterns goes live tomorrow. Kimberly is diving in again this year, sewing her blocks with Bloomsberry by Camille Roskelley for Moda Fabrics. Stick around—I'll share how she's prepping and how you can get ready too. ### You're Invited to the Quilt Along Moda Blockheads 7 was officially announced on Wednesday, September 30th, and the final block goes live on Wednesday, April 28th. Every Wednesday morning, head over to the Moda Inspiration + Resources blog for a post dedicated to that week's block. Then, hop over to their Instagram and YouTube for weekly videos that introduce the designer, walk through block construction, and point you to helpful notions and tutorials. For all the details, you can watch the Welcome to Blockheads 7 video on their channel now. ### Two Ways to Quilt Along This year, Moda is bringing back the option to sew at your own pace with the paid Friends & Neighbors Blockheads 7 Quilt Pattern. Whether you grab that pattern or wait for the weekly FREE block patterns, we'll all have sew much fun growing our skills, engaging with a quilty community, and sharing inspiration. So far, Kimberly has two great layouts in mind and needs your help deciding which one to sew. Drop your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned to see what she picks. ### Moda Blockheads 7 Fabric Requirements Because this is a sampler quilt with different setting options and block sizes, the actual fabric requirements will vary depending on how scrappy you like your blocks, which setting you pick, and other variables. Moda recommends starting with 30–35 assorted print fat quarters and 4 yards of a background fabric to make the blocks.
