Get ready for Wednesday to become your favorite day! Moda Blockheads 7 brings 30 weeks of free quilt blocks. Kimberly shares her Bloomsberry prep and how you can join the fun.

If your Wednesdays could use a little more creativity, Moda Fabrics has you covered. The Blockheads 7 Quilt Along is back, and it's bringing 30 weeks of quilty camaraderie. The first free block pattern goes live tomorrow, and Kimberly is diving in again this year. She's sewing with Bloomsberry by Camille Roskelley for Moda Fabrics, and she's sharing her prep so you can sew along too. ### You're Invited to the Quilt Along Moda Blockheads 7 kicked off on Wednesday, September 30th, and the final block will drop on Wednesday, April 28th. Every Wednesday morning, you can head to the Moda Inspiration + Resources blog for a post dedicated to that week's block. Then, swing by their Instagram and YouTube for weekly videos that introduce the designer, break down block construction, and point you to handy notions and tutorials. For all the details, you can watch the Welcome to Blockheads 7 video on their channel right now. ### Two Ways to Quilt Along This year, Moda is bringing back the option to sew at your own pace with the paid Friends & Neighbors Blockheads 7 Quilt Pattern. Whether you grab that pattern or wait for the weekly free block patterns, you'll have a blast growing your skills, connecting with a quilty community, and sharing inspiration. So far, Kimberly has two great layouts in mind and needs your help deciding which one to sew. Drop a comment below and stay tuned to see what she picks. ### Fabric Requirements for Moda Blockheads 7 Because this is a sampler quilt with different setting options and block sizes, the actual fabric requirements will vary depending on how scrappy you like your blocks, which setting you pick, and other variables. Moda recommends starting with 30-35 assorted print fat quarters and 4 yards of a background fabric to make the blocks. With 40 fat quarters in the Bloomsberry Fat Quarter Bundle and 7-8 yards of Bloomsberry White Favorite Dot on hand, Kimberly is ready to start sewing. Here's a quick checklist to get you started: - 30-35 assorted print fat quarters (or a fat quarter bundle) - 4 yards of background fabric - Your favorite rotary cutter, ruler, and mat - A sewing machine in good working order - A sense of adventure! ### Share Your Creations We are sew excited to see what you make for Moda Blockheads 7!
