Welcome back to our Classic & Vintage Quilt Series! Today, we're thrilled to introduce the Peace and Plenty Quilt, a timeless pattern that's perfect for confident beginners. Don't let all those points intimidate you - our free quilt block video tutorial shows just how peacefully they come together.
### What Makes This Quilt Special
The Peace and Plenty Quilt is a fat quarter-friendly pattern that uses 18 fat quarters, making it an ideal project for showcasing your favorite fabric bundles. It's available in both lap and queen sizes, so you can choose the perfect fit for your space. The pattern is designed with confident beginners in mind, but even experienced quilters will appreciate the classic design.
### Materials You'll Need
To get started, you'll need:
- 18 fat quarters (one light and one dark per block)
- 2-inch half square triangle paper
- 2-inch by 4-inch flying geese quilt block foundation paper
- Basic quilting supplies (rotary cutter, mat, ruler, sewing machine)
We used the Joyful Gatherings Collection by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabrics. The holiday hues and festive foliage prints add a cheerful touch to this classic block.
### The Quilt Block
Each block measures 8.5 inches by 8.5 inches unfinished. With just two fabrics per block, you can easily mix and match to create a unique quilt. Kimberly guides you through every step in the video tutorial, so you'll have plenty of peaceful blocks finished before you know it.
> "This pattern is all about enjoying the process. The points are precise, but the technique is simple once you see it in action."
