Sewcialites 3 Block 20: Gazebo Quilt Block by Doug Leko

Welcome back for week 20 of the Sewcialites 3 Quilt Along! We're celebrating our amazing quilting community, and this week we have a real treat. Doug Leko, the mind behind Antler Quilt Designs, brings us the charming Gazebo block. It's beginner-friendly, using just a handful of half-square triangles and simple piecing. Perfect for quilters of all skill levels. ### What is the Gazebo Block? The Gazebo block is a classic design that looks like a little outdoor pavilion. Doug made it with half-square triangles and easy piecing, so it comes together quickly. It's a great way to practice your triangle skills without getting overwhelmed. You can make it in three sizes: 3 inches, 6 inches, or 9 inches. Each size uses a different fabric collection, so you can really make it your own.  ### Who is Doug Leko? Doug Leko is a prolific quilt designer based in the United States. He runs Antler Quilt Designs and is known for his modern, geometric patterns. This block is a perfect example of his style: clean lines, simple shapes, and a lot of charm. He's sewing his Sewcialites 3 quilt with Gathered by Jen Kingwell for Moda Fabrics. ### How to Get the Pattern You can download the free PDF pattern for the Gazebo block right here. Gina Tell made the 3-inch block with Wild Honey by Lella Boutique. Pat Sloan pieced her 9-inch block using Rosie by Fig Tree Quilts. All fabrics are from Moda Fabrics. Three of our staffers are also making 9-inch blocks using Blueprint by Camille Roskelley, American Gatherings III by Primitive Gatherings, and In the Garden by Corey Yoder. ### Join the Community Ready to chat?
