Why Quilters Are Falling for This Week's Sewcialites 3 Block

Welcome back to week 23 of the Sewcialites 3 Quilt Along, where we're celebrating the incredible community that makes this hobby so special. Each week, one of the 25 oh-so-talented designers we've teamed up with brings you a brand-new block pattern, and this time, we're introducing the love-ly With Love Block by Jackie MacDonald. If you've been following along since Block 1, you already know the drill: a new pattern drops every Friday, and the Facebook group buzzes with progress photos, questions, and plenty of encouragement. But this week feels a little different, and I think you'll see why once you get a look at the design. ### Meet Jackie MacDonald, the Designer Behind the Block Jackie MacDonald designs under the name Sweetfire Road (@sweetfireroad), and her work is known for its beautiful artistry and thoughtful fabric choices. This week, she brought us the intermediate-level With Love Block, which is made with a creative collection of rectangles and squares. It's one of those patterns that looks deceptively simple at first glance, but the construction is where the magic happens. Kimberly sewed the 6-inch block using Lyda Rose by Bunny Hill Designs for Moda Fabrics, and it has a soft, romantic feel. Gina Tell (@gina_tell_threadgraffiti) made the 3-inch block in Wild Honey by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics, which gives it a warm, cozy vibe. And Pat Sloan (@quilterpatsloan) pieced her 9-inch block with Rosie by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics, and that one feels fresh and modern. Three of our Quilty Staffers are also joining in and making the 9-inch blocks using Blueprint by Camille Roskelley, American Gatherings III by Primitive Gatherings, and In the Garden by Corey Yoder—all for Moda Fabrics.
