This Quilt Along Just Started—Here's Why You Can't Miss It

National Sewing Month is behind us, but the party in your sewing room is just getting started. The Sewing Machine Love Quilt Along kicked off today, and for the next four weeks, we're celebrating the machine that makes it all possible. Every Friday, you'll get a fresh blog post and a livestream segment with Kimberly, packed with tips, tricks, and plenty of quilty encouragement. So grab your favorite snack, thread your machine, and let's dive in. ### What's the Schedule? We've got four weeks of themed blocks, each building on the last. Here's the lineup so you can plan your sewing time: - **October 12th – Week 1: Spools & Hearts** – We're starting with these classic motifs that set the tone for the whole quilt. - **October 19th – Week 2: Sewing Machine** – The star of the show! You'll piece a vintage-inspired sewing machine block. - **October 26th – Week 3: Patchwork Quilt** – A miniature patchwork quilt block that adds a playful touch. - **November 2nd – Week 4: Finishing** – Time to assemble, quilt, and bind your masterpiece. Don't forget to tune in this Friday, October 16th at 9 AM CT, when Kimberly will sew the first week's blocks live on the Fat Quarter Shop YouTube Channel. It's the perfect way to sew along in real time and pick up helpful hints. ### What Supplies Do You Need? If you haven't gathered your supplies yet, don't worry—there's still time. The Sewing Machine Love Quilt finishes at a charming 46.5" x 58.5", and it features the Bloomsberry collection by Camille Roskelley for Moda Fabrics. The soft aquas, fresh greens, and bright berry tones are like a breath of fresh autumn air.
