We're back from h+h Americas in Houston with a camera roll full of quilts, fabrics, and inspiration. From new collections to must-have patterns, here are the highlights you won't want to miss.
We just got back from h+h Americas in Houston, and our camera roll is bursting with quilts, fabrics, and fresh ideas. The show floor was packed with inspiration, and we spent our days catching up with friends in the quilting industry and getting a sneak peek at new collections. If you weren't able to make it, don't worry—we're sharing the highlights so you can start planning your next project.
### Starting at Sample It
We kicked things off at Sample It, and Kimberly, as always, found a few treasures to bring home. She picked up the Cozy Collection by Stacy Lee Creative, a new line from Elizabeth Hartman, and a handful of other fun finds. These small-scale prints and playful designs are perfect for scrappy projects or adding a touch of whimsy to your stash.
### Around the Show Floor
At Art Gallery Fabrics, Kimberly spotted some denim fabrics from The Denim Studio that she loved as possible quilt backgrounds. Seeing fabrics in person can spark completely new ideas, and these definitely made it onto her list. The texture and weight of denim add a wonderful dimension to quilts, don't you think?
We also stopped by Lila Gardunia's booth to see her new Scrappy Trees. Kimberly loves foundation paper piecing, so these were an instant favorite. The patterns are clever and perfect for using up scraps.
Another highlight was seeing Wendy Sheppard's Good Neighbors Quilt in person for the first time. We loved all of the little houses, gardens, and details throughout the quilt, and we're looking forward to working with Wendy on more projects to come. You can reserve it now, so don't miss out!
### Riley Blake Designs at h+h
We always love seeing what's new from Riley Blake Designs. We stopped by Lori Holt's display to take a closer look at her projects, books, and colorful yarns, including the adorable stockings Kimberly spotted in the booth. You can find the pattern in her brand-new book, Granny Square Along. The book is filled with charming designs that blend quilting and crochet—definitely worth checking out.
We also spent time seeing more upcoming Riley Blake Designs collections and catching up with designers throughout the show. Their booth was a burst of color and creativity.
### Moda Fabrics at h+h
Moda Fabrics was another major stop during our trip. We visited with Moda designers, saw upcoming fabric collections, and took plenty of photos of the quilts and projects filling their displays. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were truly inspiring. Getting to see all of these fabrics and finished projects together is always one of our favorite parts of attending a show like h+h Americas.
### Until Next Time, h+h Americas!
We came home from Houston with lots of inspiration and even more ideas for what's ahead at Fat Quarter Shop. Thank you for following along with us during h+h Americas! We cannot wait to share more of the fabrics, patterns, and projects we spotted as they make their way to the shop.
